Ottawa Hills Injectables

Look Your Best With Ottawa Hills Injectables and Dermal Fillers

If you know Blush, you know that we will always offer an array of options to best suit your goals. There’s no one magic treatment for everyone! That’s why we make it our top priority to get to know each individual person (men and women!) to best customize treatments. You’ll greet us as a patient, and leave us as a BFF!

Our favorite treatments are ones that provide our patients with consistently beautiful, youthful results. Losing facial volume and structure or wishing you had more to begin with can really weigh on your confidence. After all, it’s your face—it’s what you and everyone else sees every day. To give back patients what they lost, we offer a variety of fillers in our Ottawa Hills injectables collection.

Each type of filler is suitable for slightly different audiences, but we’ll do our best to outline where you fall in this blog. And of course, there’s nothing like an in-person consultation to truly get to know you and build your treatment care plan from scratch!

What are fillers?

Fillers are injections that smooth wrinkles and fine lines on your face and hands. They restore lost volume, “filling in” hollow spaces on your face, and can also add volume to your lips.

Our Ottawa Hills fillers tackle conditions like:

  • Fine lines
  • Marionette lines (extend from corners of mouth to chin)
  • Nasolabial folds (extend from nose to corners of mouth)
  • Forehead lines
  • Cheeks
  • Temples
  • Hands
  • Temples
  • Jawline
  • Lips

We classify our types of fillers based less on age group and more on level of collagen production. Follow along with the numbered option you feel like applies closest to you.

1) If you’re young and in good general health…

PRF injections

We’ve got something perfect for you. PRF injections—that’s platelet-rich fibrin. Stay with us! PRF is found in your blood. Because you’re young and your body is still doing everything it needs to be doing, we can use PRF to restore facial volume.

All PRF takes is a quick blood draw, and after separating each of its components, only the best of the best blood cells are then injected back into your face. We love an all-natural volumizing method.

Not only is this all natural, your own PRF stimulates collagen production in your body—the “youth” protein—that keeps your skin wrinkle-free and bouncing back.

The quality of your body’s PRF will depend on your health and hydration status, so make sure you’re open with us during your consultation!

Traditional dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance found naturally in your body, much like PRF. However, fillers also contain additives, while your blood is just your blood.

When will I see results from PRF injections?

The kicker here is it takes 3 sessions to really see the true effects of PRF, whereas dermal fillers normally only take 1 session and provide near-immediate results. But hey, you’re young; you can sacrifice a little time for some long-term (and may we say, stunning) results!

Overall, it takes a few months, but this improvement can last for up to a year or more. This is because the PRF is giving your collagen production a jumpstart, which will continue to work even after your initial filler results dissipate.

Sculptra®

Next up for Ottawa Hills injectables: meet the slightly-less-natural-but-not-pulled-from-your-body filler option, Sculptra®! Sculptra is a biostimulator, which means it stimulates your body’s natural collagen production, like PRF does. While achieving this over time, Sculptra restores facial structure and volume using poly-L-lactic acid in the meantime.

When will I see results from Sculptra?

Just like with PRF injections, Sculptra takes a little time to work. We recommend between 2 and 5 treatments depending on the patient’s age, health, and treatment areas. You should see full results between 8 and 12 weeks, but your collagen production will continue for long after.

2) If your bedtime is around 8 pm…

In this amazing, more-sure-of-yourself phase of life, you may be able to try PRF or Sculptra, but for most patients, we recommend dermal fillers for optimal results. As we age, our collagen production slows and we ultimately stop producing it. PRF and Sculptra unfortunately won’t help start that process back up once it has stopped. Womp.

The great news is dermal fillers provide immediate, long-lasting results! We have something for everyone.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid solutions that are primarily used to restore lost volume in the face, but can also be used in the jawline and hands. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our bodies and has a ton of benefits. For our purposes of facial rejuvenation, it’s a great moisturizing agent and wrinkle smoother!

Our favorite thing about dermal fillers is that they provide immediate results. Who doesn’t love a little instant gratification? Yes, waiting for results can be rewarding, but instant volume replacement when you’re in a pinch? There’s nothing better.

Our Ottawa Hills injectables: types of dermal fillers we offer

Restylane® is a family of hyaluronic acid fillers that can restore volume in multiple areas of the face and also in the hands. It’s great for the lips, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. Let’s explore all the options Restylane has to offer!

Restylane Lyft

Lyft is generally used to volumize, lift, and contour your cheeks. It can also be used to address wrinkles and folds in your hands.

Restylane Defyne

Defyne smoothes deep lines and folds around your mouth and moves naturally with your facial expressions using XpresHAn Technology. This is a unique manufacturing process that allows the product to integrate into your tissue to naturally move with your facial expressions.

If you’re worried about looking like you’ve had “work done,” we promise you don’t have to worry about that with us! Our results are all natural.

Restylane Refyne

Like Defyne, Restylane Refyne also smoothes out lines and folds around your mouth with XpresHAn Technology. The real difference is Defyne is for moderate to deep lines, while Refyne is for mild to moderate lines. So if you have more severe fine lines, you’ll want to opt for Restylane Defyne.

Restylane Contour

Contour is primarily used to restore volume in your cheeks; and no, we aren’t talking any chipmunk action. Just some nice, natural XpresHAn Technology-delivered volume and contour in your mid-face.

Restylane Kysse

Kysee is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It’s for volume restoration in the lips—so pucker up, because it’s about to feel like Valentine’s Day every day.

Juvedérm® Voluma XC

Like Restylane Contour, Juvedérm® Voluma restores volume and lift in the cheeks. Your skin will look lifted and smooth.

3) If you value natural fillers…

PRF strikes again ⚡With your own blood, you don’t have to worry about any additives or “foreign” substances in your body. We give back your body what we took from it (blood)—just in a different place!

Let us be the judge of that. By all means let us know if you have a preference, but we tend to use a combination of our Ottawa Hills injectables (even Botox®!) to best meet a patient’s goals. You can relax and let our team of experts take over in providing you with rejuvenated, younger skin.
